If you haven’t already, give it a shot! The steamed ones are especially good. We were able to substitute vegetarian options for meat and fish on the menu. It was delicious. We also had a delicious dessert!! We overate after paying a few for a three-course lunch. If you bring your own bottle of wine, the corkage fee is waived. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We have no reservations about returning. This location is fantastic! The food was delicious and varied, and we had a great time at the restaurant. The friendly, helpful, and courteous staff made our group of eight feel right at home. It’s almost certain that I’ll return to this Restaurant.

Red Chilli
Red Chilli has two locations, one on Portland Street in Chinatown and the other on Oxford Road in StudentsVille. This RestaurantRestaurant has been in business longer than the Great Wall of China. Even though I’ve only ever gone to the one on Portland Street, the other one is always packed with people scoffing and laughing as my Magic Bus passes by. Because of their fantastic menu and low prices, I once used their Deep Fried Ice Cream to wow a lady on a date.
Red Chillies Qualities
Red Chilli, a Chinese restaurant, strives to improve your Chinese cuisine experience while caring for your wallet, stomach, and spirit. Their specialisation is Beijing and Sichuan cuisine. Their chefs have been trained in Chinese embassies and five-star hotels worldwide. Their cuisine reflects the different cultures and adventurous eating habits of their customers. When Ray King of the Manchester Evening News dined at their Manchester Portland Street Restaurant, he praised their “exemplary” wine list.
CHOICE OF CUSTOMERS
Sichuan is the gastronomic epicenter of China, yet the country is a foodie’s paradise.
The cuisine of southwest China’s Sichuan Province is rated as among the best in the world. It’s famous for its fiery spiciness, which comes from the liberal use of chilli peppers and lip-tingling Sichuan pepper.
User Reviews
If you’re looking for a great restaurant with great food and service at a reasonable price, this is the place to go! If you choose it, the sweet vinegar pork tenderloin should be crisp and well-cooked. The majority of the portions were massive and delicious, with authentic flavours. The chilli oil-braised beef could have used a little more spiciness and heat. One flaw: The lack of friendliness on the staff ruined the encounter.

Sweet Mandarin
This is the spot to go in the Northern Quarter if you want a Spring Roll with noodles. Sweet Mandarin, owned and operated by three sisters, has survived the NQ’s continual evolution while preserving its reputation for offering authentic Chinese cuisine at a fair price. They were even featured on Gordon Ramsey’s most famous television show, The F Word, a few years ago. To their astonishment and happiness, they only needed to go to London to be named Best Local Chinese Restaurant in the UK in the final 5. Gordon was impressed, which was no small feat given his apparent dislike for Vimto.
Family Cooking Tip & Tricks Collection
Manchester’s Sweet Mandarin Chinese Restaurant’s recipes, written on the reverse of envelopes like nursery rhymes, trace back three generations and over a century of boiling and cooking.
Quality fine dining place.
Sweet Mandarin Restaurant serves your favourite family foods, but the crucial component is that each dish is lovingly prepared. Authentic Chinese flavours inspire Sweet Mandarin’s menu. It is based on traditional family recipes passed down through four generations for you to enjoy at your family table.

This restaurant served me a delicious meal. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. A unique vegan menu and generous servings of noodles made for a delightful dining experience, and I left satisfied and full. I’d like to return in the future. That’s wonderful! We were able to reserve a table at Sweet Mandarin at the last minute. Because of the numerous gluten-free options, my wife enjoyed the meal the most. Despite the small size of the establishment, we highly recommend it!
